Originally a set of fourteen acoustic guitar and vocal songs that I wrote half way through 2007, each of these tracks developed in it's own way into more than I'd first had in mind.The tracks are stylistically diverse and that more than anything influenced the direction I ultimately took.
Some of these songs are barely more than an acoustic guitar and voice, others have a rock or blues feel and have a full band accompaniment.
They all feature the acoustic guitar and that is their common bond.
The lyrical content (like nearly everything I write) is semi-autobiographical and makes reference to people that feature in my life in one way or another.
Someone once said that my material always struck him as having a dark theme running through it, if that is the case then I find myself in good company as some of the best musicians I have come across have a similar tendency in their music.
You will find some 'dark material' here but there are also tales of hope.
